1st Grade – 7th Grade: We use the textbook series MeiZhou HuaYu （美洲華語）www.mzchinese.net , one of the most widely used textbook series among Chinese language heritage schools. The textbook is designed for Chinese language students living in America, incorporating cultural material from both Chinese and American perspectives. We issue this textbook in the Simplified Chinese version, but the Traditional Chinese version is available for families who request it. In addition to weekly classes, there are weekly homework assignments, regular quizzes and tests. Report cards are distributed in both the Fall and Spring Semesters. Students are expected to select a 3rd period culture class, and also participate in all school-wide academic and social events such as Public Speaking and Talent Shows. Students who complete the 6th Grade are formally recognized with a Certificate of Achievement issued at our annual Year-End Ceremonies.
